Etiquette is pretty loose today. The rigid, stuffy rules of yesteryear are known to be unacceptable, but so too is being seen to get things absolutely wrong. This is a modern etiquette that doesn't take it all too seriously. That said, it does leave readers in no doubt that in some aspects of the ceremony and procedures there are very strong no-go areas and barriers. This book is minimalist in its rules, but keeps everybody out of trouble, all of the time. It's the book to keep the wedding on track to become the memorable day that the bride wants.
